At Ikari, we were engaged by a hotel in Melaka after receiving complaints about crows frequently disturbing guests at the swimming pool and landscape area. The crows often gathered on the surrounding trees and occasionally swooped into the pool area, affecting guests’ comfort and overall experience.

During our site inspection, we identified that the large trees around the swimming pool were being used by the crows as resting and observation points before entering the pool area. To address the issue, our team recommended the application of Bird Free Gel, a non-toxic bird repellent gel designed to discourage birds from landing on treated surfaces.

During the initial treatment, approximately 500g (1 bag) of Bird Free Gel was applied, which was sufficient to treat three trees only. After the application, crow activity was noticeably reduced on the treated trees, while untreated trees continued to attract birds.

On 24 June 2026, additional Bird Free Gel was applied directly to the tree branches to expand the treatment coverage. Following the application, no crow activity was observed in the treated area, demonstrating the effectiveness of the solution.
The client was satisfied with the positive results and agreed to purchase five additional bags of Bird Free Gel to continue the treatment on the remaining trees surrounding the swimming pool and landscape area.
Overall, this case demonstrates that Bird Free Gel is an effective solution for controlling crow activity in outdoor hospitality environments. By preventing birds from landing on treated trees, the product helps create a safer, cleaner, and more comfortable environment for guests while providing long-lasting bird management.
